Part-time Sales Development Rep

💡 Do you want to see a renewable powered world? Have a passion for beautiful, reliable, easy to-use-software?

⛰️ Orkestra is on a mission to help teams deploy new energy solutions to the world's businesses.

🤹🏽 We are seeking an SDR to support our growth in Europe

Location: 100% Remote, within Europe.

Language requirement: Fluent in both German and English

Loading: Part-time 3 days per week (to start)

About Us

Orkestra Technologies is a rapidly growing Australian-based software startup revolutionising how commercial and industrial energy projects are sold and deployed. Our software helps solar retailers, developers, engineers, and energy professionals perform accurate feasibility modelling, generate proposals, and track deployed asset performance - all with speed and confidence.

We're the market leader in Australia and New Zealand, with most C&I energy service companies and solar installers using our software. We launched into UK and EU markets 12 months ago and are ramping up quickly. We have ambitious growth targets and significant market opportunity ahead.

We're seeking an experienced Sales Development Representative (SDR) to support our Head of Sales - DACH as we expand into the German market and DACH region. The ideal candidate is a driven sales professional with experience in business development, lead qualification, and outbound sales, ideally within clean tech, B2B SaaS, or energy.

About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Sales - DACH, you'll be the first voice many prospects hear from Orkestra. You'll build our pipeline in the DACH region, engaging warm leads in our CRM and new prospects through strategic outbound calling, email, and social engagement.

You'll work closely with our Head of Sales - DACH and Growth team to identify qualified opportunities, ask discovery questions, handle objections, and book meetings that convert. You'll have direct access to coaching and feedback loops with clear visibility into success through top call recordings and sales playbooks.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a fast-moving global technology startup making real impact on renewable energy. As part of a small, fast-growing team, you'll have significant opportunities for growth and the chance to shape Orkestra's sales presence in Germany and across Europe.

This is 100% remote, based in Europe. We expect most support, collaboration and onboarding to happen via digital mediums. You'll need to thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment and be comfortable giving quick feedback to continually improve our SDR operations.

While fully remote, we pride ourselves on maintaining a fun, creative, and supportive culture. We're looking for someone who can match our energy, bring fresh ideas, and share our love of slightly unhinged memes, puns and gif-reacts. If you thrive in collaborative environments and want to make a tangible difference in the fight against climate change, this is the role for you.

About You

This role will suit you if you:

  • Have at least 2 years sales development experience - B2B SaaS, clean tech, or energy sector is a plus.
  • Are fluent in German and English. Business fluency is essential; native speaker level in either is ideal.
  • Are genuinely comfortable on the phone - You enjoy talking to people, asking discovery questions, and building rapport quickly. You're conversational without being pushy.
  • Have energy sector knowledge (or hunger to learn) -- Familiarity with commercial solar, battery storage, renewable energy, or the energy industry is advantageous. If not, you're hungry to get smart on the market fast.
  • Are driven by metrics and activity - You love tracking progress (calls connected, meetings booked, pipeline built). You see activity as the foundation of success.
  • Are coachable and resilient - You take feedback constructively, iterate quickly, and understand rejection is part of sales. You're interested in improving week over week.
  • Have strong written and verbal communication - You articulate value clearly across both languages. You write well and speak with confidence.
  • Are pragmatic and resourceful - You're comfortable with ambiguity, adapt to feedback, and problem-solve creatively. You don't wait for perfect conditions.
  • Have a collaborative mindset - You work well with Account Executives, Head of Sales, and broader teams. You share insights and celebrate wins together.
  • Are self-disciplined and reliable - You have the urgency and positive attitude required in a growing startup. You manage your schedule and follow through.
  • Have a passion for sustainability and are eager to make meaningful impact on climate change.
  • Are highly organised and capable of managing multiple leads across EU regions.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced startup environment and are adaptable to shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Pipeline development - Execute outbound calling, email campaigns, and social outreach to reach decision-makers across the DACH region. Build consistent flow of qualified leads.
  • Lead qualification - Use discovery questions and qualification frameworks to assess fit, uncover pain points around feasibility modelling, proposal cycles, and asset management.
  • Meeting booking - Schedule qualified appointments with Account Executives or Head of Sales, following up relentlessly until a lead is qualified or disqualified.
  • Activity targets - Log every interaction in HubSpot. Hit OKRs for Call Volumes, Connected Talk Time, Meetings Booked, and Sales Qualified Leads.
  • Master objection handling - Develop confidence navigating common pushback with empathy, curiosity, and proven rebuttals.
  • Collaborate and learn - Work closely with Head of Sales - DACH through daily check-ins, weekly call reviews, and coaching sessions.
  • Represent Orkestra authentically - Articulate the value of our platform in ways that resonate with each prospect's situation.
  • Contribute to market insights - Feed observations back into growth strategy. Share patterns about prospect pain points and opportunities in the DACH region.
  • Leverage Orkestra's sales stack - Become proficient with HubSpot, Aircall, Notion, and other tools supporting your outreach and tracking.
