Job Opening: Sachbearbeiter*in (m/w/d) Rechnungswesen

A full-time (100%, TV-L EG 6) permanent position for a Sachbearbeiter*in (m/w/d) Rechnungswesen (Accounting Clerk) is available starting April 1, 2026. The position can be divided.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Bookkeeping: Recording creditor documents, processing non-cash payments, and serving as the point of contact for suppliers and invoice issuers.
  • Receivables Management/Accounts Receivable: Creating outgoing invoices, recording incoming payments, and monitoring the open items list.
  • Data Entry and Reconciliation: Accurate data entry, data comparison, and responsible master data maintenance.
  • Handling: Processing dunning procedures, direct debits, and standing orders.
  • Discrepancy Resolution: Clarifying discrepancies and resolving error messages with the Landesoberkasse (State Revenue Office).
  • Consultation: Advising cost center managers in the academic departments.
  • Financial Accounting Support: Assisting with financial accounting tasks, such as reporting.
  • Document Management: Handling document administration, including filing (with a future shift to electronic archiving).

Your Profile / Qualifications:

  • Completed vocational training in a commercial field or public administration, or equivalent knowledge and skills.
  • Professional experience is desired, preferably in the public sector.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (especially Excel).
  • Knowledge of accounting software (e.g., HIS, SAP, DATEV) is advantageous.
  • Enjoy working with numbers.
  • High degree of accuracy and independence.
  • Organizational and teamwork skills.
