What your tasks are:

• You will be fully responsible for optimizing the entire gas portfolio, taking into account all relevant energy industry aspects and current market developments in the gas market.
• You will also be responsible for processing all hedging transactions on the futures and spot markets and will independently carry out complex pricing for different customer groups.
• Furthermore, you will manage data maintenance in the portfolio management system and reliably control daily processes to ensure error-free processing of all transactions.
• The creation of well-founded short-term and long-term gas demand forecasts is also part of your tasks, with a particular focus on optimizing the efficient use of existing gas storage facilities.
• As part of your role, you will support the team through active participation in the on-call service to ensure supply security outside of regular working hours.
• Finally, you will be responsible for compliance with all regulatory framework conditions for gas network access and will act as a competent point of contact for internal interfaces and external market partners.

What we expect from you:

• You have successfully completed a degree in Industrial Engineering (m/f/d) or Economics (m/f/d), or a comparable academic qualification in the field of energy management.
• You also have sound professional experience in the energy industry and in-depth knowledge of legal frameworks such as the Gas Network Access Ordinance and applicable cooperation agreements.
• Your confident knowledge in the application of energy industry IT tools such as BelVis-Gas, as well as a successfully passed EEX stock exchange trader examination, particularly qualify you for this position.
• You have native-level German language skills, both written and spoken, and good English skills to ensure smooth communication with all market participants.
• You also bring a high degree of communication competence and a strong ability for independent and structured working methods to your new team.
• Finally, you are a friendly team player with a valid driver's license class B and impress with a confident and objective demeanor towards your contacts.
