Business Development & Channel Executive (DACH) - Role Overview

As a Business Development & Channel Executive, you will be responsible for demand generation for Promethean solutions within a defined sales territory. Your focus will be on building strong relationships with end customers and reseller partners – primarily in the education sector – as well as supporting business opportunities in other public and private market segments. You will act as a trusted commercial representative of Promethean, working closely with partners and internal teams to achieve sustainable pipeline growth in the German-speaking market.

Base Salary:

  • €58,000 -- €79,860 + commission eligible

Responsibilities:

  • Research and analyze the assigned territory to identify potential end customers with an interest in purchasing Interactive Flat Panel Displays (IFPDs) and related solutions.
  • Proactively generate sales opportunities by presenting and positioning the Promethean value proposition.
  • Schedule and conduct customer meetings and presentations – on-site and virtual.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with schools, school districts, and regional education authorities, including ministries and public institutions, as well as establishing contacts in the corporate sector.
  • The role can be performed remotely from home office, at customer sites, trade shows, or in the Essen office, as required.
  • Collaborate closely with reseller partners to support product demonstrations, customer meetings, and opportunity development.
  • Enable partners through product launches and joint customer activities.
  • Work with internal sales, marketing, and support teams to successfully implement and deploy solutions.
  • Deliver high-quality presentations to customers and partners.
  • Participate in trade shows, events, and demonstrations to increase awareness of Promethean products and services.
  • Support after-sales orientation sessions for major projects to ensure successful adoption and identify follow-on business.
  • Build and maintain key contacts within educational institutions and relevant market influencers, as well as in the corporate sector.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets while ensuring contribution margins and high customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or channel-oriented roles.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-centric approach.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Experience or strong interest in the education, AV, or public sector market.
  • High self-motivation, good organization, and the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to quickly learn and convincingly position technical products and solutions.
  • Basic technical understanding of hardware and software solutions.
  • Experience with Promethean products or comparable educational or AV solutions is an advantage – comprehensive product training will be provided.
