Data Engineer Working Student (f/m/d)

Your Tasks

• Support in recording and analyzing customer requirements
• Assist in the design and development of database structures, models, and data pipelines
• Work on the automation and maintenance of workflows, ensuring data and process stability and accuracy
• Support the connection and cleaning of various data sources (APIs, flat files, databases)
• Actively collaborate with team members and learn agile project methodologies (prototyping, MVPs, sprints)

Your Profile

• Located in Essen or the surrounding area for a balance of remote and in-office work
• Currently pursuing a STEM or business-related degree, or possess a comparable qualification
• Initial practical experience (internships, projects) in Data Engineering or related fields
• Good understanding of databases, data modeling, and processes like ETL/ELT and workflow automation
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python)
• Bonus: Interest in technologies like Big Data (Spark, Hadoop), Databricks, or Cloud Services (AWS, GCP, Azure), and data visualization
• Initial experience with agile methods (Scrum, Kanban) is advantageous
• Analytical, structured, reliable, with a high willingness to learn
