Job Description

Market Development and Customer Support: You will participate in the long-term expansion of the reinsurance business in the APAC region and take care of existing customers in your assigned core market. You will also support the team in other APAC markets as needed, which differ significantly in market, competition, and regulatory conditions.
Data Analysis and Risk Management: With an eye for important details, you will develop meaningful market, customer, and competitor analyses and always keep potential risks in mind. You will consider profitability, diversification, and sustainable business development.
Client Relationship and Key Account Management: Your skills in client relationship and key account management are in demand – including business planning, customer and broker visits, representation, and the implementation of marketing measures.
Offer Review: You will review offer documents in coordination with support units and clarify open questions in collaboration with customers and brokers.
Interface Function: During the underwriting process, you will coordinate with our internal interfaces and make sound underwriting decisions.
Strategic Management and Project Work: In the long term, you will take over the profit-oriented management of the reinsurance business and undertake special and project tasks as needed.

Qualifications

Qualification: Degree in Business Administration (BWL), Economics (VWL), Business Studies, or a comparable qualification – preferably with a mathematical focus.
Expertise: Experience in the insurance or reinsurance industry is desirable.
Language Skills: Fluent English, both written and spoken; further Asian language skills (especially Chinese) are a plus.
Work Style: You work independently, proactively, and always keep an eye on innovations in your field.
Communication and Implementation Skills: You are characterized by your strong communication skills, enjoy making decisions, and convince with your implementation strength and presentation skills at all hierarchical levels.
Stakeholder Management: You have sound experience in building and maintaining internal and external stakeholder relationships.
Willingness to Travel: You are open to business trips (approx. 30 days per year).

Additional Information

Working Hours: Standard 38-hour week, time tracking system, flexitime & working time account.

Vacation: 30 days vacation & additional days off (December 24th and 31st).

Compensation: 14 monthly salaries (incl. Christmas & vacation bonus) or participation in the variable compensation system, special payments, employee discounts & promotions.
