Job Description:

As a medium-sized company and reliable partner to industry, Schmitt Engineering delivers comprehensive technical expertise. Our activities span the entire process chain, from planning and project management through development and design to manufacturing, assembly, and commissioning.

Your Responsibilities:

• Design and build secure software architectures, considering testability, maintainability, understandability, and security-by-design.
• Conduct threat analyses and derive appropriate security measures.
• Secure REST APIs and Single Page Applications (SPAs), including OAuth 2.0 implementation.
• Participate in a scaled, agile framework (Scrum/DevSecOps) from concept to live deployment and beyond.
• Implement and utilize SAST and SCA tools in a CI/CD environment.
• Advise development teams on best practices, security policies, and attack methods.
• Document and communicate the security architecture with all stakeholders.

Your Profile:

• Completed degree in Computer Science, IT Security, or a comparable qualification.
• Experience in threat analysis, security architecture, DevSecOps, and agile software development according to Scrum.
• Knowledge of design patterns and best practices for secure software architectures, as well as securing REST APIs and SPAs, OAuth 2.0.
• Knowledge of GitLab, JIRA, and Confluence.
• Basic understanding of offensive security and attack methods.
• TPSSE, TISP, or CEH certifications are desirable.
• Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken.

Note: German is the working language in our project, and good German language skills (level B2) are a prerequisite for the position.
