Remote Python Engineer Role
SME Careers, a subsidiary of SuperAnnotate and a leading AI data services company, is seeking a remote, hourly paid Senior Python Engineer. You will play a crucial role in enhancing AI models by reviewing AI-generated Python solutions and technical explanations, and by creating high-quality reference content that exemplifies strong software engineering practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop AI Training Content: Craft detailed prompts and responses across various topics to guide AI learning, ensuring comprehensive subject matter understanding.
- Optimize AI Performance: Evaluate and rank AI responses to improve model accuracy, fluency, and contextual relevance.
- Ensure Model Integrity: Test AI models for inaccuracies or biases, validating their reliability across different use cases.
Your Profile
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, with substantial hands-on Python work in production systems.
- In-depth knowledge of Python language features, the standard library, and common ecosystems (e.g., web frameworks, data tooling, backend services).
- Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, system design, and performance optimization in Python applications.
- Proven experience in designing, reviewing, and improving high-quality Python codebases, including code review and mentoring.
- Minimum C1 English proficiency (written and spoken), with the ability to produce clear technical explanations and follow detailed guidelines.
- Familiarity with modern tooling such as version control systems, CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and containerization technologies.
- Previous experience with AI data training, annotation, or evaluating AI-generated technical content is a significant advantage.
- Exceptional attention to detail, with a structured and methodical approach to evaluating reasoning quality and identifying subtle errors in technical solutions.
