Our client, a fast-growing MedTech company, is seeking a Data Scientist with expertise in Large Language Models (LLMs) to help shape the future of clinical intelligence. This is a remote role open to candidates based anywhere in the EU.

Role Overview

You will be part of a team developing and applying LLMs to extract, interpret, and structure complex clinical data. Your work will directly support the company's mission to improve patient outcomes through intelligent, data-driven healthcare tools.

Responsibilities

  • Fine-tune, evaluate, and deploy large language models for clinical use cases
  • Develop pipelines to process unstructured medical text (e.g., EHRs, clinical notes, guidelines)
  • Design and implement model evaluation strategies aligned with clinical standards
  • Collaborate with clinicians, product managers, and engineers to turn clinical problems into data-driven solutions
  • Stay current with advancements in NLP and healthcare ML to continuously improve model performance

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience with large language models (e.g., GPT, LLaMA, Mistral, etc.) and related NLP techniques
  • Demonstrated ability to build, fine-tune, and evaluate transformer-based models on real-world data
  • Proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
  • Experience working with unstructured healthcare or clinical text is highly desirable
  • Solid understanding of model validation, evaluation metrics, and responsible ML practices in healthcare
  • Experience in a regulated environment or with clinical-grade ML is a plus
