Apprenticeship 2026 - Administrative Specialist (m/f/d)

YOUR APPRENTICESHIP:
- Duration: Three years
- Training Locations: Achim City Hall, Verden Vocational School, Verden Adult Education Center
- Your Strengths: Communication and organization

These provide excellent starting conditions for your apprenticeship in our city. You will rotate through all administrative departments, acquiring the legal and business knowledge necessary for a successful career in public administration. This role involves significant interaction with people and current issues.
YOU WILL LEARN, FOR EXAMPLE:
- In the Citizen's Office: How to issue documents or register/deregister businesses.
- In Human Resources: How to process applications.
- In Finance: How to calculate taxes and fees.
- In the Treasury: How to disburse invoices or handle debt enforcement cases.
- In Building and Urban Development: How to manage city-owned buildings and properties.
- In Safety and Order: How to handle matters related to the fire department or public order issues.
WHAT YOU BRING:
- At least a Realschulabschluss (intermediate school leaving certificate).
- Interest in laws, legal principles, and their application.
- Strong commitment, coupled with a high sense of responsibility.
- Social competence, polite manners, and a reliable, team-oriented work style.

FURTHER INFORMATION:
Your vocational school classes will be held in blocks at the Verden Vocational School, and you will attend three training courses, also in Verden. You will work flexible hours at the city hall. There is an opportunity for an international internship in France.
