The City of Hildesheim is seeking a ## Employee in Event Management and Social Media (m/f/d)

Salary Group: 10 TVöD Hours: 30 hours/week

Please note that work may extend into the afternoons and evenings.

The advertised position is within the Economic Development department.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate all organizational aspects of event planning and execution, including resource selection, booking, and management of invitations and attendees.
  • Provide on-site operational support during events and ensure smooth execution.
  • Develop social media content in close collaboration with departmental teams, and create/maintain a structured editorial plan.
  • Publish and manage social media channels, including creating text, short videos, and other content formats.

Your Professional Profile:

  • Completed university degree or equivalent qualification in Regional Management, Event Management, or Marketing. OR
  • Successfully completed the Angestelltenlehrgang II.

Your Personal Attributes:

  • Experience in event organization and network management.
  • Knowledge of social media and public relations.
  • Open-mindedness, strong communication skills, and enjoyment of working with people.
  • High degree of initiative, organizational talent, and a structured, results-oriented approach.
  • Sense of responsibility and commitment to quality.
  • Independent and confident demeanor.
  • High level of commitment, resilience, teamwork, and reliability.
  • Excellent German language skills and good English skills, both written and spoken.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Professional experience in social media and event management.
  • Proficiency with standard MS software and common project management tools.
  • Openness to agile working methods in an inclusive work environment.
