About the Central Building Management
The Central Building Management operates as a self-managed entity, providing technical, commercial, and infrastructural services within municipal real estate management. To holistically, strategically, and lifecycle-oriented construct and maintain city properties, buildings must be continuously adapted to changing needs. City-owned properties include administrative buildings, kindergartens, schools, museums, and residential buildings.

Your Role
The Central Building Management seeks an Architect or Civil Engineer (m/f/d) for the Technical Building Management department.

Your Profile
- Completed degree (Diplom/Bachelor) in Architecture or Civil Engineering
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience in all phases of the HOAI (Fee Structure for Architects and Engineers)
- Extensive knowledge of the Building Code of North Rhine-Westphalia (BauO NRW), technical DIN standards, and VOB/A (German Construction Contract Procedures, Part A)
- Independent work style, negotiation, and organizational skills
- Assertiveness, strong teamwork ability, and a solution-oriented approach
- Valid driver's license, Class B
Your Responsibilities
- Developing independent plans and concepts for renovation measures
- Overseeing maintenance work on existing building structures
- Performing construction management tasks, primarily in renovation, maintenance, and new construction/expansion projects
- Assuming technical operator responsibility
- Project management when engaging external engineers
