Job Offer: Civil Engineer (m/f/d) for Civil Engineering and Urban Drainage

The City of Wiesloch is seeking a Civil Engineer (m/f/d) for the field of Civil Engineering and Urban Drainage. This is a permanent, full-time position (39 hours/week) that can be shared.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Planning, construction, and maintenance of municipal transport infrastructure, including bridges, noise barriers, and other structural engineering works.
  • Planning, construction, and maintenance of urban drainage systems, with a focus on heavy rainfall management.
  • Coordination and alignment of construction and maintenance measures with other administrative departments and utility providers.
  • Tendering and awarding of engineering and construction services.
  • Supervision and coordination of executing companies, contract management, and invoicing.
  • Cost estimation for construction measures for budget and financial planning.
  • Participation in planning and concepts for inter-municipal mobility management, including measures in public transport, cycling, and pedestrian traffic.

Your Profile:

  • Completed studies in Civil Engineering (Dipl.-Ing. or Bachelor/Master) or a comparable field. Alternatively, successful completion as a Construction Technician.
  • Experience in administration and in the fields of civil engineering, traffic, and settlement water management is advantageous.
  • Independent and self-structured approach to tasks.
  • High flexibility, sense of responsibility, and teamwork skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Language proficiency at least at C1 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
  • Relevant professional experience in project management and as a client representative is advantageous.
  • Good IT skills (MS Office, AVA programs).
  • Valid driver's license, class B.
