Your Responsibilities

This Senior Accountant role is based at Nanobit, reporting to the Head of Finance of Nanobit and the European Finance Hub of Stillfront.

Key Duties Include:

  • Month-End and Year-End Close: Preparation of journal entries, monthly accruals, back-end calculations, account reconciliations, and revenue reporting.
  • Daily Operations: Prepare and execute daily journal entries and supporting workbooks.
  • Financial Analysis: Provide analytical support for functional expense reviews.
  • Internal Controls: Independently implement internal controls defined by the Group and internally.
  • Accounting Support: Offer timely assistance and guidance for requests related to all accounting functions.
  • Payroll: Independently prepare input for payroll and collaborate with external accountants.
  • External Reporting: Independently prepare reports for external institutions (HNB, DZS, banks).
  • Budget Variance Analysis: Analyze financial deviations in relation to the budget/plan.
  • Audit and Tax Support: Assist with audits, handle tax returns, budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting.
  • GAAP Compliance: Prepare GAAP-compliant transactions for all areas of responsibility (Croatian GAAP and IFRS).
  • Group Reporting: Prepare monthly and annual reports for the Group.
  • Invoice and Payment Management: Track and follow up on incoming invoices, monitor supplier payments, and communicate with suppliers as needed.

What You Bring to the Role

  • Experience: Minimum 3-4 years in Accounting, with a preference for experience in Public Accounting.
  • Qualifications: Chartered Accountant or Chartered Accountant candidate.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required due to a high rate of interaction with internal customers and senior management.
  • Work Environment: Comfortable working remotely and in the office in a fast-paced, high-volume, technical environment.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with MS Excel is required; experience with accounting software is an asset.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Tax Knowledge: Familiarity with local Tax requirements is a plus.
