About the Role

What You'll Do

Manage Customer Projects Independently After onboarding, you will manage your own projects and customers. This means you will be the primary point of contact, decide on technical implementation, manage timelines, and communicate results. Typically, you will manage 2-4 projects concurrently. A typical project might involve building an LLM-based FAQ chatbot: clarifying requirements, designing the RAG architecture, building the system, testing it, and deploying it.

Technical Conception and Implementation You will use the best tool for the job. Currently, this often includes: PHP/Laravel systems (webshops, database systems), Python/Django (web applications), Flutter (apps), LLM integration (RAG systems, chatbots, automation), server administration (Debian/Ubuntu, Microsoft, VPN setup, CI/CD optimization).

Customer Consulting and Scoping When a customer says "We need feature X," you will analyze whether feature X is truly the solution or if adapting existing feature Y would be more sensible. You understand business goals, not just technical requirements. You will communicate your solutions clearly to CTOs, managing directors, and end-users alike.

Who We're Looking For

Must-Haves You have excellent experience in at least one high-level programming language (PHP, Python, Java, C#, Ruby, Go) and write clean code. You possess broad technical experience with various technologies and have built full-stack projects, administered servers, or integrated APIs. You can quickly learn new systems, systematically debug issues, and have strong problem-solving skills. You also communicate clearly with clients, manage expectations, and work solution-orientedly.

Nice-to-Haves You are particularly interesting to us if you have experience with LLM integration (RAG systems, API usage of OpenAI/Anthropic, prompt engineering), a background in machine learning, have worked with Laravel or Django, or have server and DevOps experience (Docker, CI/CD, VPN setup).

Years of Experience? We don't have a fixed requirement. What matters is your ability to solve problems independently and your technical expertise. Whether you have 5, 10, or 15 years of experience is less relevant than your ability to quickly learn new topics.

What We Offer

Salary and Conditions Your annual salary will be between €60,000 and €100,000, depending on your experience and responsibilities.

Work Model You will work hybrid (with 2-3 days in the office) or fully on-site at our location in Hamburg or Cologne.

Development and Responsibility As the first operational senior developer outside the founding team, you will have significant scope for design and implementation. We have a clear growth strategy focused on AI and automation, and you will be part of this development from the beginning.
