About The Nutriment Company

At Nutriment Company we are entrepreneurs, visionaries and doers. We operate in one of the fastest growing segments of FMCG right now - pet food - and we are proud to be Europe's leading company within the natural premium segment. Our headquarters are in Stockholm and Düsseldorf, and we currently have 800 employees spread across Europe. We generate 200 million EUR turnover with strong profitability, and we are owned by the Nordic private equity company Axcel.

We are operating with multiple German business units that are currently being integrated and prepared for scale-up. The environment is fast-paced, hands-on and change-driven and with many different landscapes.

This role is critical to establishing cost transparency, COGS control and budget discipline during integration and growth.

The Role

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring financial control and performance transparency across German business units by combining strong analytical controlling with solid business understanding. The initial focus will be on COGS, OPEX, budgeting and working capital, while commercial topics such as pricing and sales strategy will also be part of the business, remaining secondary in phase 1 and developed further at a later stage.

You will report to the Finance Director Germany.

Key Responsibilities

COGS & Cost Control (Top Priority)

  • Build a consistent COGS view across BUs (materials, packaging, production, logistics)
  • Analyze deviations vs Budget / Forecast / PY
  • Identify structural vs integration-related cost drivers
  • Challenge Operations and BU leads on cost development

Budget, Forecast & Discipline

  • Coordinate German budget and forecast processes across Bus
  • Ensure clean assumptions, clear cost ownership and timely reforecasting
  • Implement pragmatic budget vs actual tracking to prevent overruns

Analytics & Reporting

  • Improve analytical reporting on top of ERPs and Accounting System
  • Support KPI, cost structure and reporting harmonization
  • Work closely with Group Data Analyst, Group Business Controller and Accounting

Working Capital (with Finance Director and Head of Financial Control)

  • Inventory transparency and steering
  • AR / AP monitoring and cash impact
  • Act as right hand to Finance Director Germany on WC topics

Profile

  • 3–6 years of experience in Business Controlling / Operations Controlling / Business Analysis
  • Experience from similar environment as: PE-backed, scale-up, dynamic, integration environment
  • Exposure to multi-entity or multi-BU setups
  • Cost- and inventory-heavy business background (FMCG, production, logistics)

Skills

  • Strong Excel and analytical structuring skills
  • Solid ERP understanding
  • First experience with BI tools (Power BI a plus)
  • Able to translate numbers into actions

We are looking for a profile who brings in a hands-on, pragmatic and execution-oriented mindset. You are comfortable with ambiguity and change, willing to challenge cost owners constructively, and see controlling as business steering, not policing.

What We Offer

  • Being part of a high growth company with an exciting role.
  • Attractive career path with clear possibility to grow.
  • Competitive salary including benefits.
