About
Technology, Media, Telecom (TMT) and Healthcare is one of the industry clusters within the Sectors business line in Wholesale Banking ("WB"). The Global Technology, Media, Telecom & Healthcare sector team (TMT&H) provides its over 500 clients worldwide with advice, highly competitive banking products and services. In the context of a re-established strategy for the Media sector and internal movements, we are looking for a talented and energetic person to lead the Global Media efforts within TMT & Healthcare Sector team.
Role & Responsibilities
- Contribute to the TMT&H commercial strategies with the focus on the Media sector, target setting, client marketing and business initiatives, whilst operating within Credit & NFR risk appetite.
- Being a role model for ING's strategic and business priorities, providing leadership and functional direction for ING's global activities in the Media sector.
- Responsible for the financial performance of the Media sector, measured by portfolio profitability, revenue mix, economic contribution and client engagement.
- Defining and articulating ING strategy towards the Media sector within internal constraints and appetite. Ensure commercial alignment and driving commercial prioritization.
- Implementing sector strategy through the client PAMs, providing advice, driving collaboration and sharing knowledge.
- Maintaining active and regular contacts with other product teams/departments within ING such as Corporate Finance (CF), Loan Distribution Group (LDG), Debt Capital Markets (DCM), Financial Markets (FM), Transaction Services (TS) and Risk Management.
- Building client relations and maintaining continuous dialogue with industry leaders and sector participants on the most senior level, be the thought leader in the Media sectors in our chosen markets. Acting as spokesperson for ING, representing ING at industry events and building relationships with sector participants.
- Develop and coordinate knowledge sharing and cross-fertilization within the TMT&H team and across the other Sectors and Product teams within WB Globally.
- Representing the Media sector in commercial green light committees and in risk decisions.
- Accountable for maximizing fee income and capturing cross-buy at an early stage in close cooperation and consultation with all ING product teams.
- Responsible for sales force effectiveness and commercial ambition of the team.
- Fully embracing Commercial Excellence way of working and be a driving force in the team regarding implementation.
- Engaging in senior level dialogues with Media clients -- boardroom level-discussions.
- Foster a culture of client centricity across financial areas/needs, collaboration with all ING products and Client Coverage teams like Financial Sponsor Group and other Global Sector Leads within TMT & Healthcare, continuous improvement and innovation.
- Develop sales excellence, talents and a high-performance culture in the team.
- Drive the active portfolio management discussion with focus on i) risk performance, ii) profitability of the clients & x-Buy and iii) capital velocity in the Media client portfolio.
- Maintain robust risk culture and performance of the sector.
- Ensure regulatory compliance in line with ING procedures.
How To Succeed
Personal Profile
- Graduate degree (MBA, or equivalent).
- (Senior) Leadership profile and strong team player with a pro-active mindset and open and inclusive leadership style.
- At least 12-17 (level dependent) years of experience in the financial sector in an international, wholesale banking, environment with robust Media sector and Transaction Services knowledge and the proven track record and network in the sector/with clients in the ING's core markets.
- Client-centric approach paired with exceptional analytical and judgement skills.
- Commercial drive with a strong focus on x-Buy.
- Strong communication skills, track record of building relationships, especially in the Media sector.
- Having a strong capital velocity mindset, focusing on the active portfolio management way of working.
- Attentive to compliance and governance issues.
- Cross-cultural effectiveness.
- Orange Code ambassador.
