As a growing company with a global presence, our client is looking to strengthen its Finance & Controlling team at the Offenbach location by hiring a dedicated Tax Expert / Tax Specialist / Tax Advisor / Tax Assistant (m/f/d). This is a permanent, direct placement position.

Your Role:

• Monthly VAT review and preparation of VAT returns for Germany and other European countries
• Preparation of Intrastat and ZM (Summary) reporting for Germany and other European countries
• Support and monitoring of electronic invoicing and real-time reporting for all European countries
• Monthly account reconciliation and clarification
• Maintenance of tax codes and tax determination in SAP
• Point of contact for other departments on VAT and wage tax issues
• Participation in tax-related projects and tax audits
• Review of current tax legislation and literature on company-relevant topics
• Contribution to the continuous improvement of tax-related processes and their documentation

Your Qualifications:

• Successfully completed training as a Tax Assistant, Tax Specialist, or Accountant; alternatively, a business degree with a focus on taxation
• Several years of professional experience in a company or consulting firm
• Profound MS Office skills and good knowledge of SAP R/3
• Very good written and spoken German and English skills
• High degree of independence & flexibility
• Commitment & assertiveness
• Strong analytical thinking & problem-solving skills
• Intercultural & communication competence
