Job Description

Your Responsibilities

• Provide scientifically sound media support to researchers and the public relations efforts of the Cluster of Excellence; maintain the website, create online content, and coordinate social media activities.
• Develop and coordinate texts, presentations, and informational materials for both internal and external audiences.
• Conceptualize and implement public engagement formats, potentially in collaboration with institutions like the Deutsches Museum (e.g., exhibitions, workshops, podcasts, public dialogues).
• Act as a liaison between researchers, the public, media, and cultural institutions.
• Develop strategies to enhance the cluster's visibility within the scientific community and the general public.
• Assist in organizing events of societal relevance.
• Advise and train researchers in science communication.
• Evaluate and further develop existing communication measures.
• Maintain the cluster's scientific publication database.

Your Profile

• Completed university degree (e.g., in Communication Studies, Cultural Studies, Science Journalism, or a related field).
• Several years of experience in public engagement, science communication, or participatory formats within scientific institutions; experience in collaborative research projects is advantageous (web, social media, event organization).
• Structured and independent work style, commitment, flexibility, initiative, and teamwork skills.
• Creativity, organizational talent, and an understanding of societal issues.
• Excellent communication skills in German and English.
• Enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration and dialogue with diverse target groups.
