Job Description

Your Responsibilities

In this position, you will support the Student Management Computer Science team and play a central role in the support of selected examination boards. Your focus will be on the continuous coordination, clarification, and preparation of examination-relevant cases, as well as coordinating collaboration with internal and external parties. You will also organize the examination board meeting for the Professional Profile Informatics and handle minute-taking for the examination board in selected degree programs.

  • Ongoing case review and coordination with the examination board, including clarification of facts in collaboration with various TUM units (e.g., Legal Department, Graduation Office).
  • Preparation, organization, and execution of examination board meetings, as well as serving as the primary contact person for examination board members.
  • Coordination, documentation, and implementation of examination board decisions.
  • Preparation and provision of information, including communication of decisions (e.g., website).
  • Close coordination within the School, particularly with minute-taking, academic advising, other ASA teams, and professorships and chairs; also acting as a liaison to central TUM institutions.
  • Advising students on examination matters, partly in English (e.g., in office hours, information events, or via email).

Your Profile

You ideally possess the following knowledge and skills, or the motivation to acquire them:

  • A completed university degree; preferably in Computer Science or a related field, or a strong affinity for this area.
  • Experience in university self-administration is advantageous; applications from career starters and career changers are explicitly welcome.
  • Very good English and fluent German skills are required.
  • Confident use of MS Office and video conferencing software, as well as a willingness to learn additional programs and tools.
  • Initiative, structured approach, commitment to performance, and talent for communication.
  • Quick comprehension (e.g., when implementing administrative regulations in a service-oriented environment).
  • Enjoyment in working with students, empathy for diverse target groups, flexibility, and open-mindedness.
  • Enjoyment in crafting texts for our target audiences. Experience in website maintenance and editing is advantageous.
  • Experience in creating and maintaining websites, and ideally in using campus management systems.
  • Organizational skills, as well as a high degree of responsibility and service orientation.

What We Offer You

  • A two-year fixed-term employment contract.
  • Remuneration based on professional experience, qualifications, and suitability (up to EG 13, TV-L).
  • A varied, challenging, and crisis-proof role in a modern academic environment.
  • An open, warm, and appreciative work environment.
  • Additional pension provision through the Versorgungsanstalt des Bundes und der Länder.
  • Personal and professional development programs.
  • Flexible working hours with flextime arrangements.
  • The possibility of working from home.
  • Work-life balance through e.g., childcare options and holiday programs.
  • Diverse sports and health offerings within the university sports program.
