Junior Experimental Scientist

Join UCANEO's Technical Development Team in Berlin as we scale and optimize our innovative direct air capture (DAC) technology. We are looking for a dedicated individual for a hands-on role to support our lab operations. You will work closely with our engineers and scientists, assisting with day-to-day laboratory tasks, testing, and prototype development. Your contribution will be key to maintaining an efficient and organized lab environment, ensuring that experiments and tests run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in setting up and conducting experiments for electrochemical and process development.
• Maintain lab equipment, ensuring everything is calibrated and functioning properly.
• Prepare chemical solutions, handle lab materials, and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
• Collect, record, and analyze experimental data.
• Collaborate with engineers and scientists to support prototype development and testing.
• Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with lab safety standards.

Skills and Experience

• Technical diploma, Bachelor's degree, or relevant certification in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• 1+ years of hands-on experience in a laboratory setting.
• Familiarity with basic lab equipment and processes, including preparing solutions and handling chemicals.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Valid Work Permit for Germany, or ability to obtain a permit.
• Location: Exciting industrial Co-Working Space in Marzahn where we have our own industrial halls to build.
