Your Role

We are actively looking for a Controller to join our Team!

The Controller supports the financial management of the company and is responsible for operational controlling activities such as reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analyses. Working closely with internal departments, the role provides transparent financial information and supports management decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Support financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting activities in close cooperation with internal departments (e.g. Engineering, Crewing, Chartering)
• Prepare monthly management reports including variance analyses
• Support liquidity planning and cash flow monitoring
• Assist with month-end and year-end closings in collaboration with accounting
• Conduct profitability analyses, business cases, and ad-hoc financial analyses
• Maintain and further develop controlling tools, reports, and KPI dashboards
• Contribute to the optimization and partial automation of controlling and reporting processes
• Prepare financial analyses and presentations for internal stakeholders

Qualifications

• Degree in economics, finance, controlling, or a comparable qualification
• 2--4 years of professional experience in controlling, finance, or audit/consulting
• Ideally initial experience in an international environment, preferably in the shipping industry
• Strong analytical skills and high numerical affinity
• Proficient in MS Office (Microsoft 365), especially Excel
• Fluent in English and German
