Compensation: Advisory Position (strategic influence, infrastructure leverage, and category-defining platform building)
Are you a commerce, payments, or distribution leader ready to help scale an integrated Commerce Operating System for SMEs---bringing storefront, inventory, payments, invoicing, CRM, and analytics into one platform? We're seeking a seasoned advisor to join the advisory board of a fast-moving African SME infrastructure company building at the intersection of commerce payments financial data.
What You'll Do:
- Advise on distribution strategy via high-leverage partnerships (banks, telcos, enterprise channels)
- Support partnership structuring, go-to-market sequencing, and competitive positioning vs. infrastructure incumbents
- Guide expansion planning (new cities/markets) and the operating assumptions needed to scale responsibly
- Provide input on capital strategy (institutional raise readiness and/or strategic consolidation pathways)
Who We're Looking For:
- Senior operator/executive with experience in fintech, payments, commerce platforms, or SME ecosystems
- Strong track record building and activating B2B partnerships and channel distribution in emerging markets
- Experience scaling products across multiple African markets (or comparable environments)
- Comfortable advising early-stage teams with urgency, focus, and pragmatic execution
