About Us

Our diverse services are closely linked to the energy sector and include various services such as the billing of heating costs. However, we do not focus on the direct provision of electricity or heating energy. The selection of the energy provider for an apartment, for example gas, is up to the landlords and owners.

Responsibilities

As part of an agile development team, you will be responsible for the development and improvement of Java applications in the areas of device management and measurement data management for our remote-readable meters. You will develop technical concepts for future-oriented software solutions, taking into account industry standards and specifications. You will implement new applications and optimize existing ones, paying attention to maintainability, scalability, and performance, and integrate them into our IT landscape together with the responsible agile teams. You will support the expansion of test automation and the improvement of our CI/CD infrastructure. You will support the deployment process as well as the operation of our systems. You will support the Product Owner in advising our specialist departments on technical and economic feasibility.

Profile

You have successfully completed your university studies in computer science or a related field. Alternatively, you qualify through relevant professional experience combined with further training. You have many years of experience in the technical design and development of Java applications, as well as in the use of Spring Boot, relational databases (e.g., Oracle or PostgreSQL), REST, and JWT. Experience with Keycloak, Kubernetes, Kafka, Python, and cloud services (ideally Azure) is an advantage. You have a basic understanding of IoT and can classify topics such as measurement data streaming, encryption, interfaces to downstream systems, and the Open Metering System (OMS). You know how to design highly available and scalable systems to manage millions of data points. You enjoy adapting systems to constantly growing requirements. You bring practical experience in agile working methods (e.g., Scrum or Kanban), ideally also in teams and in scaled environments. Teamwork, strong communication skills, and a goal-oriented approach are a matter of course for you. Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken, complete your profile.
