Job Opening: Java Software Engineer in Frankfurt, Germany

This is a permanent employment position based in our Frankfurt office, with a hybrid work model requiring 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.

Description

We are seeking a Java/Python/Micro Service Oracle Programmer to develop in-house applications.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Developing products that consist of generic cores that could be customized, and extended by modules.
  • Creating and securing APIs to internal and external teams and third parties, with one or more RDBMS back-ends.
  • Interacting with members of other teams during the design, development, and maintenance of deliverables.

Qualifications:

  • BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 8+ years of experience in developing and maintaining business applications
  • SQL/PLSQL, Java/Python programming experience is a must
  • Oracle RDBMS experience is a must
  • Must have experience with a webserver such as Apache Tomcat
  • Knowledge of Microservices Architecture and development experience of Microservices
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Self-motivated with a strong ability to learn quickly and work independently

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working experience in ORDS, Oracle Application Express (Oracle APEX).
  • Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes
  • Knowledge of Source Control Systems (SVN/GIT)
  • Knowledge of QA tools (Web tester, Selenium)
  • Knowledge of Microservices Architecture and development of Microservices.

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

As a member of the engineering division, you will perform application design based on provided specifications. Specify, design, and implement minor changes to existing application architecture. Build complex enhancements and resolve complex bugs. Build and execute unit tests and unit plans. Communicate with DB engineering as necessary to discuss changes to product functionality and to ensure quality and consistency across specific products.
