About the Company
At Ads on Tap, we're a performance creative agency that helps e-commerce brands scale through ads that convert. We've taken brands to 8-figure revenue by obsessively testing and iterating on creative. We have a production studio in Berlin and a fully remote team working across Central European Time.
About the Role
You already know what makes people stop scrolling. We'll show you how to make them buy. You spend hours studying what's working on TikTok. You notice when a new hook format starts trending before it blows up. You know exactly why some videos get 2 million views while nearly identical ones get 200. You've probably even tried hook stacking before most creators knew it had a name. You live and breathe social content. But somewhere in the back of your mind, there's a question: what if I could do more with this skill?
Here's the thing --- the best-performing ads in the world don't look like ads. They look like great organic content. The same instincts that tell you what will blow up on Reels are the exact instincts that make someone a killer creative strategist in performance marketing. The difference? Instead of optimizing for views, you're optimizing for sales. And the data you get to play with is way more interesting.
Responsibilities
- Create concepts that sell. You'll develop ad concepts, write hooks, and craft scripts for Meta and TikTok ads. Think of it as content creation --- but every piece you make has a measurable impact on a brand's revenue.
- Research obsessively. You'll spend time in TikTok, Instagram Reels, and ad libraries studying what's working right now. New formats, emerging hooks, trending angles --- you'll be our radar for what's next.
- Brief creators. You'll work directly with UGC creators, writing briefs and guiding them to produce content that doesn't just look good but actually converts. You'll know exactly what to ask for and why.
- Learn to read the data. This is where it gets interesting. We'll teach you how to look beyond views and engagement --- and start understanding what happens after someone clicks. Hook rate, hold rate, CTR, CPA, ROAS --- you'll learn what these mean and how to use them to make your next concept even better.
- Test and iterate. You'll develop new angles, test them, analyze what worked, and do it again. You'll build a library of frameworks and techniques that you can reuse and refine over time.
- Collaborate across teams. You'll work alongside media buyers and senior strategists who'll help you connect creative decisions to business outcomes.
Qualifications
German language skills are a strong plus --- we work with many German-speaking clients. But it's not a dealbreaker.
Required Skills
- Content-obsessed. You're always on TikTok, Reels, or YouTube Shorts --- not just watching, but studying. You notice patterns. You can explain why something works, not just that it does.
- Technically curious. You geek out over content techniques. Hook stacking, pattern interrupts, pacing shifts, retention tricks --- you're always experimenting with what makes content perform better. You treat content like an engineering problem as much as a creative one.
- A sharp writer. You can take a product and write a first line that makes someone stop scrolling. Your copy is clear, direct, and free of filler.
- Hungry to learn. You don't just want to make content --- you want to understand the business behind it. The idea of learning how ads actually drive revenue excites you, not intimidates you.
- A natural collaborator. You can give clear, specific feedback to creators. You can articulate what's working in a video and what isn't --- and your notes actually make things better.
- Self-driven. You don't wait to be told what to research or what to test. You come to the table with ideas, not just questions.
