Information Technology Project Lead

IT Project Lead (Software) | Secure AUG Engagement | Kiel | Up to 24 months | Up to €105,000 p.a. (negotiable)

Software project leadership in a technically demanding defence and naval environment. Real ownership --- not a coordination mandate.

We are working with a leading European defence and technology business operating across naval and maritime systems, with a well-established software engineering hub in Kiel and a strong track record of complex programme delivery.

They are seeking an experienced Project Lead or Project Manager with 5+ years of software project leadership experience to take full ownership of delivery across cross-functional teams in a technically demanding agile environment.

THE ROLE

• Define and maintain project roadmaps, schedules and budgets for complex software programmes

• Align cross-functional teams and coordinate all project stakeholders

• Capture, prioritise and document requirements with stakeholders

• Identify risks early and mitigate proactively; ensure quality standards and test strategies are upheld

• Communicate project progress clearly via status reports and management presentations

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Computer Science, IT or Engineering with 5+ years of software project leadership experience

• Strong technical background in software development

• Agile methods (Scrum, Kanban) and/or classic PM frameworks (PRINCE2, PMP)

• Proven delivery track record under pressure

• Strong communication, facilitation and conflict resolution skills

• Good German and English --- both mandatory

• Location: Kiel, Germany (home office on request)

• Salary: Up to €105,000 p.a. (negotiable)

• Start: ASAP --- all notice periods considered

• Contract: Up to 24-Month Secure AUG Engagement
