About Alcedis
At Alcedis, you will drive progress in clinical research at the intersection of innovative technologies, academic partners, and the pharmaceutical industry. As an Account Manager (m/f/d) in our Commercial department, you will be responsible for the strategic expansion of customer relationships and develop tailor-made offers and budgets for clinical studies. You will work closely with experts from various specialist areas, ensuring that all puzzle pieces fit together perfectly -- from the initial inquiry to the final elaboration. You will take on a leading role in strategy presentations (Bid Defense Meetings) and be initially involved in project implementation.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead generation and acquisition of new customers in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry and marketing of our CRO services
- Participation in sales presentations, trade fairs, conferences, and sponsor meetings
- Consulting our customers in the development of new projects
- Independent processing of incoming inquiries for new offers and contract extensions
- Coordination and responsibility for the overall offer creation process
- Coordination of the entire sales process and account planning, including budget responsibility, opportunity management, and accompanying internal planning reports and forecasts
- Support and further development of existing key accounts as well as development of strategies for key account expansion
Your Profile
- You have successfully completed a degree in natural sciences, business administration, or a comparable qualification, ideally with a medical focus
- Professional experience as a Project Manager or Business Development Manager in clinical research (CRO), medical, or pharmaceutical fields is an advantage. This includes:
- Experience in offer, price, and contract negotiations or the motivation to develop further in this area
- Understanding of clinical development phases (I-IV) as well as basic study designs and operational processes
- High frustration tolerance and perseverance in dealing with long decision-making processes, complex stakeholder structures, and changing project priorities
- Strong communication skills: With your excellent communication skills, you are eloquent in dealing with demanding business partners and have a confident and friendly demeanor
- Team player: With your empathetic personality and strong social skills, you support and strengthen our team
- Initiative: You work reliably and in a structured manner, have a strong hands-on mentality, are ambitious, results-oriented, and achieving goals is a matter of course for you
- Language skills: Fluent German and English skills are required
- You are proficient in using Excel and other common MS Office tools
