Your Responsibilities

As an Image Processing Engineer - Medical Devices (m/f/d) supporting our R&D Team at the Teltow site, you will be trusted to conduct R&D for real-time medical data processing, design software for both native and web applications, analyze technical specifications, and document, test, and realize prototypes and final products.

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Diving into the realm of real-time data processing, data mining, and visualization for cutting-edge medical products in ophthalmology.
  • Designing and developing medical software.
  • Crafting technical specifications and designs, ensuring documentation is top-notch.
  • Bringing prototypes and final products to life through testing and realization.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics.
  • Expertise in computer vision, image processing, and analysis in Python or Matlab.
  • Implementation skills in C / C .
  • Proven track record in designing modularized, testable software.
  • In-depth knowledge of software architecture and algorithm design.
  • Proficiency in developing performance-critical and safety-critical algorithms and code.
  • Fluent English (oral and written).

NICE TO HAVE:

  • Mastery of C / C coding with a deep understanding of design patterns.
  • Experience with multi-threaded/parallel and distributed programming.
  • Familiarity with machine learning, openCV, and GPU programming (pyTorch, tensorflow, ...).
  • Excellent understanding of networking protocols and technologies.
  • Experience with module testing, test automation, scripting, and tools.
