Your Responsibilities
- Disciplinary and technical leadership and development of a team of category managers
- Responsibility for the successful operational management of your assigned product group with regard to defined KPIs and objectives in coordination with the Category Director
- Execution and application of international category management and procurement-focused market analyses
- Responsibility for market-oriented, international assortment design as well as analysis and implementation of necessary specification changes
- Management, responsibility, and execution of international purchasing negotiations for the defined product group
- Development and continuous optimization of an international supplier portfolio, as well as strategic supplier management
- Ensuring comprehensive international competence building within the product group regarding consumer needs, trends & innovations, raw materials, sustainability, and competition (for yourself/team)
- Responsibility and technical support for cross-divisional projects
Your Profile
- Completed studies in business administration or a comparable field with relevant professional experience
- 5+ years of experience in purchasing, sales, or category management in retail/industry
- Good network in the retail and FMCG industry, as well as pronounced knowledge of the European food retail market
- Very good English skills, at least C1
- Well-developed negotiation experience
