AI systems are only as culturally aware as the people who train them. That's where you come in. Your insider knowledge of local customs, social norms, humor, taboos, and regional nuance is something no algorithm can replicate --- and we need it.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role open to people from any background. No academic credentials in cultural studies required.

What You'll Do

• Review AI-generated content --- including text, images, and recommendations --- for cultural accuracy and appropriateness
• Identify material that is culturally insensitive, outdated, stereotyping, or simply off-key for your region
• Provide regional context and suggest culturally relevant, natural-sounding alternatives
• Evaluate whether translations and localizations feel authentic to native audiences
• Submit structured, clear feedback using provided evaluation tools
• Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule

Who You Are

• Deep, firsthand familiarity with the culture, customs, values, and social norms of your region
• Able to identify cultural blind spots and subtle issues that an outsider would miss
• Strong written communication skills --- you can articulate why something feels wrong, not just that it does
• Thoughtful, open-minded, and consistent in your evaluations
• No prior AI experience required --- your cultural fluency is the qualification

Nice to Have

• Experience in translation, localization, journalism, or content editing
• Familiarity with AI tools or content evaluation workflows
• Knowledge of regional sub-cultures, dialects, or generational differences within your area
