Who will you join?

Group Actuarial is the department within AZ SE that's in charge of governance for key actuarial function, ensuring appropriate reserves, and contributing to the actuarial aspects of performance and steering of the Group. It's an exciting opportunity to lead or contribute to a number of Group dialogues. You'll be overseeing actuarial activities of Allianz' operating entities worldwide.

How can you make an impact?

You will:

  • Provide oversight of reserving and analyze profitability of Life and Health (L&H) business
  • Prepare actuarial reserve reviews for our entities around the globe and feedback results to our top management to drive informed decision making
  • Develop and implement actuarial techniques
  • Simplify and automate actuarial processes for reserving and reporting purposes, using the latest available software suite, to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Strengthen capabilities within the Actuarial Community with respect to new technologies
  • Engage with relevant stakeholders in the headquarter and the entities to provide strategic and financial recommendations that influence key business outcomes
  • Enhance the Actuarial Function governance, ensure best practice and promote this across our entities

What are you made of?

  • Actuarial expertise (5 years) in L&H insurance, preferably in reserving
  • University degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or similar quantitative field
  • Qualified actuary or partially qualified actuary with good track record, and member of a renowned Actuarial association
  • Exceptional analytical skills and a solid technical background in L&H insurance
  • Proven ability to interact effectively with senior management
  • Advanced data analytics and programming skills, e.g. using Power BI and Python
  • Advanced MS Office skills
  • Fluent in English, German and/or other languages is a plus
  • Previous experience in business related functions (e.g. Claims, Underwriting, Investment management, Asset management, Product development) is a plus
  • Experience in project management is a plus
  • Experience applying ChatGPT, Generative AI, and Ethical AI solution
