Alpine Business Consulting
AI Tools Associate
Eckdaten
Arbeitsmodell
About Alpine Business Consulting Alpine Business Consulting works with organizations that have lost confidence in their internal reporting. Many companies spend years and significant budgets on enterprise performance management systems, only to find that the final output is unreliable. We step in to fix these broken configurations. Our team focuses on creating a single source of truth for finance departments, ensuring that month close processes are predictable and that data is actually usable for decision making. We value clear documentation and practical results over corporate jargon.
Currently, a leading German industrial manufacturer is working with us to modernize their reporting environment. Their legacy systems have become cluttered with inconsistent data and manual workarounds. We are assisting them in moving toward a more structured setup where information flows correctly without constant human intervention. This AI Tools Associate role supports that effort by researching and testing how modern tools can assist in cleaning data and automating documentation.
The role As an AI Tools Associate, you will help our senior consultants evaluate how artificial intelligence can be practically applied to the world of enterprise reporting and data management. This is not a research role in a vacuum. You will be looking at real world problems faced by our clients, such as our current project with the German manufacturer. The goal is to see where AI can speed up the process of cleaning data or drafting configuration guides that are actually easy for a client to follow.
This is a permanent, full time position that is fully remote. You will work from your own environment while staying closely connected with our team through regular check ins and shared documentation. You do not need years of experience, but you do need to be comfortable with technical tools and have a logical approach to problem solving.
What you will be doing
- Researching different AI tools and large language models to see how they handle structured financial data and technical documentation.
- Testing prompts and configurations to help automate the drafting of system handover guides for our clients.
- Assisting consultants in identifying gaps in client data that need to be addressed before a new system is launched.
- Creating clear internal reports on which AI utilities provide the most reliable results for enterprise performance management tasks.
- Supporting the documentation process for our project with a leading German industrial manufacturer to ensure all system changes are tracked accurately.
- Collaborating with the team to refine the way we use AI to summarize complex system logs and configuration files.
- Participating in team meetings to discuss how to keep client data clean and consistent during a system migration.
- Helping to build a library of prompts and workflows that our consultants can use across various client engagements.
What we look for
- A high level of curiosity about how software and data systems work together in a business setting.
- Strong writing skills and the ability to explain complex technical steps in plain English.
- Basic familiarity with common AI tools or large language models and an interest in their practical business use.
- Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment without needing constant supervision.
- A logical mindset, especially when it comes to organizing information and troubleshooting small errors.
- Willingness to learn about ERP and EPM systems such as Oracle, SAP, or modern cloud reporting tools.
- The ability to follow specific instructions while also suggesting practical improvements to a workflow.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly when reviewing data or technical configuration guides for accuracy.
What the role offers
This position provides a deep look into how high level business consulting works. You will learn how enterprise systems are built and fixed from the ground up. Because we are a senior led firm, you will have the opportunity to observe how experienced consultants handle complex client requirements and system failures. This role is paid and the pay is competitive for an entry level position in the current market. We prioritize a healthy work balance and provide the flexibility that comes with a 100 percent remote setup. You will be given the tools and time needed to learn the sector properly, with a focus on building skills that lead to a career in data or systems consulting.
Alpine Business Consulting avoids the usual corporate fluff. We focus on getting the job done right the first time. Our consultants take pride in handing over a system that the client can actually run themselves. In this role, you will be a part of that process, ensuring that the documentation and data structures we leave behind are of the highest possible quality. Working here means focusing on the single source of truth and helping companies move away from broken systems and toward predictable, reliable reporting.
