About the role Alpine Business Consulting specializes in fixing enterprise performance management and reporting systems that have lost their way. Often, large organizations invest in complex planning tools only to find that the initial implementation cut corners, leaving finance teams to deal with numbers that do not match and closures that take far too long. We step in to configure these systems properly or build new ones from the beginning. Our consultants have spent years working with Oracle EPM, SAP BPC, and modern analytics stacks, bringing real world experience to every project.

Our partner is an international software firm expanding its global reach, and we are looking for a Data Operations Coordinator to join us in supporting their growth. In this entry level position, you will work closely with our senior team to ensure that data remains consistent across various reporting platforms. This is a fully remote role, allowing you to work from your own environment while contributing to a project focused on building a single source of truth for our client.

What you will do The core of this role is helping our team maintain a high standard of data integrity. You will not be left to figure things out on your own: our senior consultants provide the configuration guides and clear documentation you need to succeed. Your daily tasks will focus on the practical side of data management rather than abstract theory.

  • Reviewing incoming data sets for accuracy and consistency before they are loaded into reporting tools.
  • Assisting in the creation and maintenance of technical documentation that clients can actually use to remain independent.
  • Monitoring data pipelines to ensure that scheduled updates complete successfully and reporting any discrepancies to the consulting team.
  • Help organize configuration files and version control for system updates.
  • Categorizing and cleaning master data to ensure that financial reports reflect the current state of the business accurately.
  • Supporting the project manager in tracking progress against fixed price quotes and timelines.
  • Participating in remote team meetings to provide updates on data health and operational tasks.

What we need from you We are looking for someone who is organized, observant, and skeptical of messy data. This is an entry level role, so we do not expect a decade of experience in enterprise software. We value clarity of thought and the ability to follow a process through to completion.

  • Strong familiarity with spreadsheet software like Microsoft Excel, including the ability to use basic formulas and formatting to organize information.
  • Basic understanding of how databases work or a general curiosity about how large companies store and report information.
  • Excellent written English skills, specifically for writing clear instructions and documenting steps taken during a project.
  • A high level of attention to detail: you are the type of person who notices when a number is out of place or a name is misspelled.
  • The ability to work independently in a remote setting while staying in close communication with a team.
  • A logical approach to problem solving: you prefer fixing the root cause of an issue rather than applying a temporary patch.
  • An interest in learning about tools like Oracle EPM, SAP BPC, or similar enterprise performance management systems.

What the role offers Alpine Business Consulting provides an environment where your work contributes directly to a working system, not a shelf-ware presentation. Because we do not use client engagements as a training ground for junior staff to lead, you will have the chance to learn by supporting experts who have seen every implementation mistake in the book. This is a permanent, full time position that is fully remote. The role is paid and the pay is competitive for the entry level market.

Working here means prioritizing transparency and predictability. We do not believe in mysterious processes or endless meetings. We focus on providing documentation and configuration that works. You will gain exposure to how international firms manage their reporting and planning at scale, developing a foundation in data operations that is grounded in practical application. Our goal is always to hand over a system that the client can trust every morning, and your work will be central to that reliability.
