How you'll make an impact
- Own the enterprise Disaster Recovery strategy, framework, and governance
- Conduct Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and define RTOs/RPOs together with business stakeholders
- Plan and execute Disaster Recovery exercises, including failover/failback testing, with post-test reports and remediation tracking
- Ensure backup, replication, and recovery solutions meet regulatory requirements (e.g., DORA, ISO 22301, ISO 27001)
- Maintain Disaster Recovery documentation, recovery runbooks, and dependency maps
- Manage third-party vendors supporting backup, replication, and Disaster Recovery services
- Define and report Disaster Recovery KPIs to senior management and support crisis management during business disruptions
What it takes to succeed in this role
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Continuity Management, or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure or business continuity, including 3--4 years focused specifically on enterprise Disaster Recovery
- Hands-on experience defining and validating RTOs/RPOs and translating them into technical recovery requirements
- Proven track record planning and executing Disaster Recovery exercises for critical systems, with structured post-test reporting
- Solid technical understanding of backup and recovery technologies across on-premises and cloud environments (e.g., Veeam, Zerto, AWS/Azure DR)
- Working knowledge of DORA, ISO 22301, and ISO 27001, including audit preparation experience
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills; fluent English required, German language skills are an advantage
