Do you have strong analytical skills and enjoy working in complex IT environments, from network concepts and virtualization to monitoring and incident management? Your Responsibilities

  • Full responsibility for our Linux systems: planning, installation, configuration, operation, and optimization to ensure stability, performance, and security
  • Operation, maintenance, and improvement of the infrastructure, both on-premise and in the cloud, including virtualization, storage, backups, and disaster recovery
  • Automation of infrastructure and operational processes
  • Support of CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, and provision of environments
  • Design and maintenance of monitoring, alerting, and incident management
  • Execution of root cause analyses and long-term problem solving
  • Definition and enforcement of security standards, access management, patch management, and compliance with internal and external requirements
  • Documentation of the IT infrastructure, systems, architecture, processes, and security measures
  • Support of Windows administration as a second point of contact for troubleshooting, maintenance, and administration
  • Preparation, maintenance, and documentation of IT hardware, including laptops, PCs, and servers

What You Should Bring

  • Several years of professional experience in Linux system administration (e.g., Ubuntu, Debian) and in-depth knowledge of network technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, VPN, SFTP, and SSH
  • Experience with shell scripting (Bash or similar) and knowledge of system monitoring, logging, and backup and recovery strategies
  • Understanding of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Veeam, HA clusters) and security best practices for Linux systems
  • Fluent German or English skills and good knowledge of the other language
  • Preferably basic knowledge of CI/CD concepts and DevOps workflows
  • Strong analytical skills, independent working style, and sense of responsibility for production systems
  • Clear and structured communication and teamwork skills
  • High reliability, sense of responsibility, and resilience in stressful situations
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and continuously develop
