Responsibilities

Our mission? The digitalization of Germany.

You will actively work in project teams with clients in various industries. Depending on the project, the tasks and the technological environment may vary.

• Independent analysis of customer requirements
• Conception and optimization of complex IT systems in the cloud environment
• Architecture of solution designs with modern technologies
• Evaluation of cloud architectures and presentation of results at management level
• Work with private cloud technologies and their associated services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
• Work with modern cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP, STACKIT Cloud)
• Automation of CI/CD pipelines for builds, testing, and release cycles, e.g., with Jenkins, Gitlab, or Azure DevOps
• Building container solutions using Docker and Kubernetes
• Conception and implementation of infrastructures using "Infrastructure as Code"
• Coaching team members regarding cloud architectures
• Support in internal ARES projects

Qualifications

• Degree or training in IT
• Several years of professional experience with cloud service providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, STACKIT, IONOS, Hetzner) or with private cloud infrastructures
• You are comfortable in on-premises, private cloud, and public cloud environments and are flexible in both worlds
• You have relevant experience in the DevOps field
• You have very good knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible, and Infrastructure as Code
• You are familiar with the conception of cloud infrastructures in both IaaS and PaaS environments
• You are eager to digitize processes and support clients with their cloud strategy
• You are flexible across different client industries (e.g., public sector, automotive, finance)
• Ideally, you already have consulting experience
• You are independent, customer-oriented, communicative, and enjoy working in a team
• You are ambitious and have the drive to quickly and flexibly learn new topics
• You want to grow with ARES and also get involved internally
• You are willing to travel within Germany for important client appointments (on average max. 3 days/month)
• Your very good German and English skills complete your profile
• Willingness for security screening: Due to our collaboration with clients from the public sector, a security screening (SÜ1 or SÜ2) according to SÜG may be required
