We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Data Engineer to join our growing team. This role is ideal for candidates who are passionate about data, enjoy solving technical problems, and want to build reliable and scalable data pipelines and infrastructure in a fully remote work environment.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain data pipelines and data processing workflows
- Collect, transform, clean, and integrate data from multiple sources
- Develop and maintain ETL/ELT processes for reliable data delivery
- Work with databases, data warehouses, and data integration tools
- Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and well-documented code
- Collaborate with data engineers, software engineers, data scientists, analysts, product managers, and other stakeholders
- Monitor data pipelines and troubleshoot data quality or technical issues
- Assist with data modeling, pipeline optimization, and performance improvements
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to data engineering best practices
- Support data platform deployment, testing, monitoring, and continuous improvement
- Learn and apply new data technologies, frameworks, and development tools as needed
- Contribute to improving data quality, reliability, scalability, and security
✅ Requirements
- Entry-Level / Junior (0--3+ years of experience, internships included)
- Degree or relevant experience in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
- Knowledge of Python or another programming language
- Familiarity with SQL and relational databases
- Understanding of data structures, databases, ETL/ELT concepts, and data processing principles
- Familiarity with APIs, Git, and version control
- Basic understanding of data warehouses and cloud platforms is a plus
- Familiarity with technologies such as Apache Spark, Airflow, or similar tools is a plus
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative remote team environment
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Detail-oriented and eager to learn and grow
- Fluent in English
- Based in Germany with legal authorization to work full-time in Germany
