Your Role
We are seeking experienced Test Managers with expertise in SAP or Finance for our nationwide locations in Berlin, Holzminden, Kassel, Meppen, Frankfurt, Munich, Fürth, Saarbrücken, Düsseldorf, Mannheim, Hannover, Cologne, Stuttgart, Paderborn, Wolfsburg, Bremen, Hamburg, Leipzig, and Essen. Your Responsibilities
- Lead test projects, particularly for clients in the automotive, public, and other industrial sectors.
- Develop cross-project test strategies and concepts for both agile and process-oriented environments.
- Create test plans and analyze technical requirements for project feasibility.
- Estimate test efforts at both project-specific and program-wide levels.
- Present and justify effort estimations to internal project and program managers, as well as clients.
- Prepare and present test completion reports and results to stakeholders.
- Plan all test phases across different test sub-projects and levels (considering constraints, milestones, and resources) in agile, hybrid, or process-oriented methodologies, coordinating plans with internal teams and clients.
- Escalate issues within and outside of test projects.
- Coordinate and guide test teams within projects or programs.
- Generate test project status reports using test management tools or project-specific guidelines.
- Identify and document plan deviations.
- Develop and implement corrective actions in consultation with project managers and clients.
- Ensure the creation and execution of test cases, including cross-module and application-level tests (integration and end-to-end).
- Oversee the documentation of test results and defect descriptions in test management tools and bug tracking systems.
- Prepare and conduct coaching sessions, project-specific training, and workshops on testing, including ISTQB or test tools.
- Monitor the market and explore new trends in software testing.
- Present technical talks on software testing to clients and at industry events.
- Prepare and conduct test process assessments and audits.
Your Profile
- Completed degree in a technical or scientific field.
- Proven broad IT knowledge, experience leading test teams of 5+ people, and extensive professional experience in QA/QM.
- Successful application of test methodologies in practice.
- Demonstrable knowledge of test techniques and strategies, a methodical and structured approach, and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to quickly learn new topics while maintaining a strong customer focus.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in German and English, teamwork, and willingness to travel.
- Practical experience with test management tools such as MF Octane, Atlassian Jira/Confluence, and XRay is advantageous. ISTQB certifications are desirable, and we offer further training.
- Experience in the automotive or public sectors, along with initial project management skills, is preferred.
