You don't have to start from scratch to make a lasting impact! Ophtha-AI, the AI idea forge of the Eye Center Münster, has already spun off an AI startup and directly won the German AI Award in 2020 (with deepeye-medical). For our next project, we are looking for a CoFounder (m/f/d) who takes responsibility and enjoys breaking new ground out of conviction.

Our goal is clear: to use AI where it unfolds the greatest benefit – in the processes of the healthcare system, for practices, clinics, and their teams. Our product is an AI-based ERP system that simplifies the daily work of practices and hospitals and makes processes more efficient. For this, we have already developed functional solutions that we put into your hands – you will shape version 2.0 from them, which convinces investors and creates sustainable value.

Tasks

YOUR AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY

• Market environment – Identification of market opportunities and detailing the business case
• Fundraising & Spin-off – Planning, structuring, and conducting capital rounds to finance growth
• Go to market – Definition of the right approach in close exchange with investors and medical personnel
• Product Development – Conceptualizing, testing, substantiating, and scaling the product idea
• Customers – Acquiring pilot customers and selling proof-of-concept projects
• Network building – Strengthening the exchange with stakeholders from the healthcare sector
• Team and Culture – Building and expanding the team and leading employees
• Strategic direction – Developing and implementing a strategy that positions the startup for survival
• Finances – Continuous development of the business case and responsibility for planning figures that sustainably secure the company's liquidity

Qualification

WHAT YOU BRING

• You have at least 5 years of relevant work experience in strategy consulting, investment banking, startups, or in the MedTech sector
• You have an outstanding business, technical, or medical degree
• You have very good German language skills, both written and spoken (C2 level), and business-fluent English skills
• You have already proven your entrepreneurial mindset, as well as your strong analytical skills
• Ideally, you have already gained experience in the healthcare industry through studies or professional activity
• You are well-networked in the AI, startup, and/or healthcare sector
• Conceptual thinking comes naturally to you, as does rolling up your sleeves
• You know the importance of guidelines and standards and know which factors are crucial for success
