Legal Counsel (d/m/w)

About the Role

Our Legal department supports the management and employees of AUTO1 Group on all legal matters, particularly in business, corporate, and labor law, and represents AUTO1 Group in court.

To ensure AUTO1 Group's continued growth, we need support in our Legal Team. As Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for providing legal support for out-of-court and, prospectively, court disputes in various areas of our product portfolio. This position also involves the (enforced) collection of our acquired claims and advising specialist departments on the implementation and improvement of processes related to your aforementioned activities. With appropriate prior experience, involvement in labor law advice and litigation is also planned.

This position is intended as a parental leave replacement. If there is a corresponding need and suitability, a permanent full-time position may be possible after the fixed term expires.

Job Description

• Handle legal cases with a focus on sales and commercial law and represent AUTO1 Group in communications with external lawyers;
• With appropriate prior experience: advise our specialist departments on all matters of individual labor law, represent the AUTO1 Group companies in legal disputes related to labor law;
• Accompany the enforcement of titles acquired by the legal department; negotiate with the opposing party, make decisions, and draft payment agreements;
• Support our specialist departments in making various processes (e.g., regarding subsequent performance) more effective;

Qualifications

• Law degree (1st State Examination, business law or comparable degree);
• Independent, efficient, and structured work with a pragmatic and solution-oriented approach, as well as the ability to self-organize, are inherent to your nature;
• Ideally, but not a must: experience in labor law advice and litigation;
• Entrepreneurial thinking, willingness to develop and support operational processes in the commercial area
• Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
