Chief of Staff - COO Office | AdTech AI | Remote ≤€120K
We are supporting a hyper-growth international scale-up in the search for a Chief of Staff, working directly with the Group COO at a pivotal stage of the company's development.
This role is designed for highly driven individuals who want to operate at the center of execution, take ownership of critical topics, and actively shape how a company scales.
About the Company
My client is a hyper-growth AdTech scale-up building a platform at the intersection of AdTech, AI, and IoT, laying the foundation for a new class of AI known as Large Consumer Models. The company connects digital media with the physical world and captures real-world consumer behaviour at scale.
They operate with a clear scale-up mindset. At the same time, it is part of a larger publicly listed technology group, a combination of entrepreneurial dynamics, stable funding, long-term stability, and ambitious international growth plans.
The company is entering its next major growth phase. They are significantly expanding the German market, whilst scaling across Europe, and entering the US this year with the clear ambition to become the number one player in their segment short-term.
The Role:
This is not a traditional coordination-heavy Chief of Staff role. The COO is looking for a high-impact sparring partner who ensures that priorities are not only defined but executed.
You will act as a builder, problem solver, and communicator, translating direction into action across teams, markets, and operational layers.
It is a hands-on, execution-focused position for someone who wants to build and improve how a company operates, solve real operational challenges at scale, and work in an environment with high ownership, low bureaucracy, and fast decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a sparring partner to the COO on strategic and operational topics
- Take ownership of key initiatives and drive them end-to-end from problem definition to implementation
- Translate priorities into clear actions and ensure execution across teams
- Identify inefficiencies, fix processes at the root, and implement scalable solutions
- Build and improve structures, workflows, and operational standards in a scaling environment
- Prepare decision materials, analyses, and executive-level presentations
- Step into critical situations to resolve misalignment, unblock teams, and drive progress
- Represent the COO in meetings when required and ensure clear communication and follow-through
- Use data and KPIs to identify bottlenecks and support decision-making
A key success factor in this role is the ability to simplify complexity, move fast, and consistently deliver outcomes.
Your Profile:
- Experience in roles with high strategic and operational exposure such as Chief of Staff, CEO or COO Office, Strategy, Business Operations, Consulting, PMO or similar
- Typically a background in strategy consulting or a fast-paced, execution-driven environment
- Strong analytical and structured thinking combined with a clear bias for action
- Proven ability to take ownership, navigate ambiguity, and deliver results independently
- Excellent communication skills and confidence working with senior stakeholders
- High level of ownership, reliability, and discretion
- Strong interest in leveraging AI (AI-First Mindset) and automation to improve workflows and scalability is a clear advantage
- Fluent in English and German
You are someone who does not wait for perfect input. You create clarity, take ownership, and make things happen.
Framework:
- ≤€120,000 package depending on experience
- Fully remote option (Germany-based), alternatively you can work from offices in Berlin, Cologne, Dortmund or Munich. Travel 1x per month to any of these locations would be required.
- Reporting line: direct reporting to the Group COO
- Close collaboration with senior leadership
- High visibility and direct impact on company-wide topics
- Exposure to international scaling, operational excellence, and transformation initiatives
- Long-term development opportunities within a high-growth environment
- Benefits including 30 days holiday, training budget, language classes, private pension scheme, mobility support, Urban Sports Club membership, and much more..
