About The Role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Fullstack Java Developer (m/w/d) with a focus on Java EE to join our Application Development Composite Department. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end development and maintenance of applications within an agile environment, primarily focusing on the composite insurance domain. You will work closely with product owners to understand business requirements and translate them into effective user stories. Your collaboration with various departments will ensure the optimal implementation of features and functionalities. Additionally, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of agile processes and methodologies within your team and projects, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a completed degree in (Business) Informatics or a comparable qualification, coupled with relevant professional experience. Extensive experience in Java development, especially with Java and Jakarta EE, is essential. Familiarity with modern technologies and tools such as Git, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Maven, and Selenium is required. Practical knowledge of agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban, including hybrid approaches, is vital. Proficiency in Jira and Confluence for daily work processes is expected. Experience with Cobol, SQL, or mainframe technologies is advantageous but not mandatory. The candidate should demonstrate high reliability, excellent communication skills, and a strong team-oriented mindset. Fluency in German at a minimum C1 level is necessary for effective collaboration.

Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include the autonomous development and maintenance of applications within an agile framework, with a specific emphasis on the composite insurance sector. You will engage in close collaboration with product owners to understand and refine requirements, translating them into user stories for implementation. Coordination with technical and business teams will ensure requirements are met efficiently and effectively. You will also be instrumental in refining and optimizing agile processes and methodologies, promoting best practices within your team. Additionally, you will participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities, ensuring high-quality deliverables. Staying updated on emerging technologies and integrating them into projects to enhance system performance and security will be part of your role.
