About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled IT System Engineer (m/w/d) with a focus on First-Level Support to join our IT team at our Kiel location. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for employees needing technical assistance and support. Your primary responsibility will be to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal functioning of our IT infrastructure. You will handle a variety of tasks, including managing Windows clients and servers, supporting digital time tracking systems, telephone systems, intranet, and network administration. Your expertise will contribute significantly to maintaining a secure, efficient, and user-friendly IT environment, supporting the organization's digital transformation objectives.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a completed vocational training or degree in IT-related fields such as Fachinformatiker/in, IT-Systemelektroniker/in, Informationselektroniker/in, Technische/r Assistent/in für Informatik, or a comparable qualification. Prior experience in network administration and general IT support is desirable, demonstrating a solid understanding of IT infrastructure and troubleshooting. Candidates should exhibit a friendly and professional demeanor when interacting with colleagues, superiors, and external service providers. Strong team spirit, excellent communication skills, and a high level of responsibility are essential qualities for success in this position.

Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing first-level support by accepting and processing incident reports through our ticketing system.
  • Serving as a personal contact point for employees, assisting with technical issues related to hardware, software, and network systems.
  • Administrative tasks involve managing Windows client and server systems, performing installations and updates, and maintaining documentation for hardware and software configurations.
  • Overseeing the digital time tracking systems, telephone infrastructure, intranet, and other digital tools used within the organization.
  • Analyzing IT processes and developing tailored application solutions.
  • Supporting the IT department in general organizational and operational activities.
  • Ensuring seamless IT operations and contributing to the continuous improvement of our digital services.
