About The Role
We are seeking a talented Python Developer (m/w/d) specializing in Backend & Data Engineering to join our dynamic team. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a completed education or relevant experience in software development, with a strong proficiency in Python. Expertise in SQL, with practical knowledge of Oracle and PostgreSQL databases, is essential. Additionally, experience in designing and optimizing ETL processes, performance tuning of Python scripts, and working within DevOps environments is highly desirable. A structured, analytical, and solution-oriented working style is crucial for success in this role. Familiarity with Docker, GitLab, and monitoring tools like Prometheus/Grafana will be considered an advantage.
Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will include designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable backend services and APIs primarily using Python and FastAPI. You will take ownership of developing and refining business-critical ETL processes and data pipelines, ensuring high performance and reliability. Analyzing existing workflows to identify bottlenecks and implementing performance improvements will be a core part of your role. You will develop optimized SQL queries and enhance database interactions with systems such as Oracle and PostgreSQL. Ensuring code quality through rigorous testing, containerizing applications with Docker, and collaborating with the DevOps team for deployment and operational management are integral to your responsibilities. Additionally, you will contribute to the technical architecture of new data solutions, documenting your work meticulously in internal wikis and Jira to support team knowledge sharing and future scalability.
