We are looking to strengthen our five-person Finance team in Berlin with a
Team Lead Finance / Finance Manager (all genders)
permanent position, full-time only (40 hrs.), starting immediately or by arrangement.
Responsibilities
- You will support the further development of financial accounting and controlling to ensure efficient corporate management and act as a sparring partner for the management of the DACH region and the CFO from Paris.
- In addition to hands-on tasks such as handling daily operational business, you will independently manage the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB (German Commercial Code) as well as other statutory financial statements.
- You will support consolidation, analysis, and reporting, as well as planning and forecasts within the scope of group reporting.
- Developing, analyzing, and interpreting financial key figures, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements is part of your diverse area of responsibility.
- You will optimize existing process and system workflows in the course of automation and digitalization projects.
- You will manage contact with our tax advisor, auditors, authorities, and other stakeholders and interested parties.
- Together with your team, you will be responsible for ongoing accounting processes as well as dunning and debt collection.
- In collaboration with the tax advisor, you will be responsible for the smooth processing of monthly payroll and special payments.
Profile
- You have either successfully completed a business administration degree with a focus on finance or a successfully completed commercial apprenticeship (e.g., industrial clerk IHK), supplemented by further training as a certified accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter IHK).
- You have several years of relevant professional experience, ideally in a comparable position.
- You convince with an independent, precise, and analytical way of working, a high degree of personal responsibility, and enjoy working in a dynamic environment.
- You can demonstrate a track record of automating and improving processes.
- You have initial leadership experience with a small team and enjoy developing your team and your department.
- You bring the necessary team spirit, a "can-do" mentality, and flexibility.
- You have a proactive work approach and a lived hands-on mentality.
- You possess active communication skills and intercultural competence.
- Very good Excel skills and experience with DATEV.
- You speak and write fluent German (C2 level) and have good English skills, both written and spoken (at least B2 level).
- You are willing to undertake occasional business trips to Cologne.

- Salary Range: €75,000 to €85,000, depending on individual experience level.
