Job Description
tonies is the world's leading interactive audio platform for children. With over 10 million Tonieboxes and over 125 million Tonies sold, our award-winning and intuitive audio system delights families worldwide. It revolutionizes how children play and learn independently - child-friendly, creative, and screen-free.
Our diverse content portfolio includes around 1,400 Tonies in multiple languages, and our Tonieboxes have been activated in over 100 countries. Since our founding, we have achieved numerous milestones, including our IPO on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange in November 2021 and the establishment of a global team of over 550 dedicated employees.
Become part of our tonies team and our inspiring mission to create innovative and great audio experiences for children around the world!
You as part of tonies: At tonies, we transform data into real insights that enable joy and adventure for our listeners worldwide. As a Data Analyst for Content and Portfolio, you are in the thick of it: You ensure that our dashboards and models not only show how the product portfolio is performing - but also why - and what can be derived from it for future product decisions. You act as an important sparring partner and help the teams to continuously review the performance of the product portfolio, derive future audio developments, and shape the further development of our new "tonieplay" formats in a data-driven manner.
You will work closely with cross-functional and international teams, supporting them in independently using and further developing data products.
- Global teamwork: We work together across departments and borders on our vision of bringing the Toniebox into every child's room worldwide.
- Come as you are: This applies not only to the dress code but to everything else. Because only where you feel truly comfortable can you give your best.
- Mobility: Choose the offer that best suits you - a Deutschlandticket Job for unlimited mobility, a monthly subsidy of fifty euros for an office parking space, a leased bicycle, or a remote work subsidy.
- Security: Benefit from subsidies for capital-forming benefits, a company pension scheme, and occupational disability insurance.
- Rest & Time Out: Enjoy 30 days of paid annual leave plus three additional days off, such as Rosenmontag, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Eve. After one year of service, you can also use up to 10 "toniecation days" (unpaid leave days).
- Continuous learning: Benefit from our internal and external training opportunities as well as an individual learning budget to continuously expand your knowledge.
- Learning languages and relaxing made easy: Improve your communication skills with the language learning app Babbel and find relaxation through our access to the meditation app Calm.
- Discounts: Benefit from attractive discounts on our entire tonies range.
Good to know: Our principles include our commitment to inclusion and diversity at tonies®. We celebrate the diverse abilities, backgrounds, beliefs, and gender identities that unite under our roof. Every face is welcome here and is supported with and by us in all phases of development.
Your Tasks
- Portfolio Analysis & Content Strategy: You analyze the performance of audio and content formats (e.g., Music, Story, Games), identify drivers of success or failure, and create quick ad-hoc analyses or investigate reasons (deep dives) from which you derive recommendations for action.
- Business Consulting & Enablement: You translate complex performance analyses into clear storylines for content strategy, product, and portfolio teams, enabling them to make data-driven decisions (e.g., end-of-life).
- Data Product Development: You develop robust Tableau dashboards (e.g., for content launch performance, portfolio health) and self-service solutions that enable teams to derive decisions quickly and independently.
- Data Modeling: You build structured content-related datasets in our Data Warehouse and ensure their up-to-dateness.
- Data Quality & Governance: You track discrepancies from source to dashboard, support standard definitions, and ensure high data quality across all markets.
Your Profile
- Experience: You have at least 3 years of experience in Data Analytics, Product, or Content Analytics - ideally in the environment of physical and digital products (e.g., audio streaming, e-commerce, gaming).
- Business and Data Understanding: You have a deep understanding of portfolio performance metrics (e.g., engagement, churn) and a basic understanding of content management and product master data logic.
- Technical Skills: You are proficient in using data analysis and visualization tools, especially Tableau, SQL, and advanced Excel. Ideally, you have experience with DWH systems like Snowflake and ETL tools like dbt.
- Data Products & Automation: You develop scalable data products or KPI suites that accelerate decision-making processes and influence results, reducing manual work.
- Work Style & Personality: You have strong analytical skills, a high affinity for numbers, and a strong problem-solving mentality - proactive, independent, and solution-oriented.
- Communication: You have excellent communication skills and can convey complex issues and possible solutions/recommendations clearly, structured, and understandably.
- Hybrid Work: Presence in our Düsseldorf office 2 days a week.
- Languages: You speak fluent German and English.
