Your Role

  • Develop and optimize computer vision algorithms for automated cell detection, segmentation, and classification in microscopic bone marrow images
  • Integrate AI solutions with microscopes, slide scanners, and digital pathology platforms
  • Collaborate with medical professionals to ensure clinical relevance and validate algorithms
  • Stay current with computer vision research and critically evaluate which approaches are most applicable to medical imaging problems
  • Contribute to our domain-specific foundation model for hematological imaging using self-supervised learning techniques

Desired Skills and Qualifications

Required:

  • Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 3 years of experience in computer vision and deep learning
  • Deep understanding of state-of-the-art CV methods and ability to select appropriate approaches for specific problems
  • Strong expertise in object detection, segmentation, and image classification
  • Proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX)
  • Fluent English; German is a plus

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with self-supervised learning (contrastive learning, masked autoencoders, DINO, etc.)
  • Background in foundation models, medical imaging, or digital pathology
  • Publications in top CV/ML conferences (CVPR, ICCV, MICCAI, etc.)
  • Familiarity with weakly supervised or few-shot learning
  • Familiarity with natural language processing and multimodal Models (Vision Language)
