Process & Innovation Manager (m/w/d)

My client is an internationally oriented company in the financial services sector that is actively shaping its digital future – with modern technologies, clear processes, and a culture that promotes innovation and enables further development. For the Cologne location, I am looking for a motivated individual who will sustainably shape the organization together with two other team members.

We are seeking an independent, structured, and team-oriented personality who enjoys further developing processes, introducing new tools, and visibly driving innovation.

Important note: This role requires fluency in both German and English, as both languages are used daily. Applications from candidates without strong skills in both languages unfortunately cannot be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and Rethink Processes: Transform complex workflows into efficient, transparent, and scalable structures with clear optimization potential.
  • Evaluate New Tools & Technologies: Assess AI approaches, automation, modern platforms, and develop viable concepts for digital advancement.
  • Moderate Workshops & Ideation Sessions: Design formats for collaborative development of new solutions.
  • Manage Innovation and Digitalization Projects: Take responsibility for content, implementation, and results from idea to rollout.
  • Define & Evaluate Use Cases: Analyze business requirements, clearly describe application scenarios, and assess benefits, efficiency, and relevance.
  • Strengthen Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ensure structure, transparency, and clear communication between departments and stakeholders.

Qualifications

Your Profile

  • Qualification: Degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a comparable qualification.
  • Professional Experience: Experience in process design, process optimization, or in the innovation/digitalization field – ideally with an IT focus or from a dynamic, technological environment.
  • Work Style & Skills:
    • Very good understanding of process chains.
    • Analytical, conceptual, and structured way of thinking.
    • Strong moderation and communication skills.
    • Enjoyment of visualization, ideation, and cross-team collaboration.
  • Personality:
    • Convincing, professional demeanor.
    • Creative, curious, tech-savvy.
    • Independent, responsible, solution-oriented.
    • Enthusiasm for actively driving initiatives and exploring new paths.
  • Industry experience is an advantage but not a requirement.

Offer

The Offer

  • Varied tasks in a modern, international environment.
  • Permanent position in a growing company.
  • Close-knit, motivated team with short decision-making paths.
  • Individual development opportunities, including LinkedIn Learning.
  • Mobile working (up to four days of home office possible).
  • Attractive compensation & benefits:
    • Capital-forming benefits (vermögenswirksame Leistungen).
    • Accident insurance.
    • Corporate Benefits.
    • Deutschlandticket.
