Financial Accountant (Ref: HY47155)

A Global IT company is currently recruiting a Financial Accountant to work in their Frankfurt office.

In this role, you will be responsible for the management of the end-to-end billing process, act as the primary contact for Accounts Receivable, handle data management regarding customer data and contracts, creation of billing and profit reports, preparation of accruals and deferred income statements, and reporting to the Finance Manager.

The ideal candidate should have experience in accounting, fluency in English, and be comfortable using MS Office.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Management of the end-to-end billing process including directing the preparation of invoices, adjustments, and any required supporting documentation, ensuring compliance with VAT rules and presentational standards
  • Primary contact for Accounts Receivable including billing enquiries for all levels and with internal and external stakeholders
  • Data Management regarding database for customer data and contracts as well as entries into the accounting system (revenue, cash and various transactions)
  • Creation of billing and profit reports and periodical review of billing data
  • Participate in systems testing, operating interface between systems
  • Preparation of Accruals and Deferred income statements, including posting month end journals and other reports
  • Customer credit check for potential new customer and periodical review of credit limits
  • Customer/Supplier due diligence review and preparation of decision forms
  • Reporting to the Finance Manager and carrying out ad hoc duties as required
  • Daily update of bank reconciliation file and review of posting
  • Management of customer receipts including Direct Debit collection
  • EU VAT returns
  • Preparation of Aged Reports, monitoring dunning procedures including payment reminders

Ideal Candidate:

  • At least 3 years of experience in accounting or office management with accounting tasks
  • Fluency in business English
  • Working knowledge in MS-Office Software
  • Proficiency in German or Japanese would be advantageous
  • Experience with databases and software applications
